說(shuō)明:Nuclease and protease-free powder, suitable for use in most molecular biology applications.

牛血清白蛋白,BSA,又稱為組分V或Cohn V,名稱起源于BSA的分餾法—Cohn冷乙醇法,Cohn冷乙醇法是由哈佛大學(xué)Edwin Cohn教授于1946年發(fā)明的。當(dāng)時(shí)基于戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)創(chuàng)傷治療對(duì)注射級(jí)別蛋白的大規(guī)模需求,Cohn教授在較低的溫度下改變血漿的乙醇濃度和pH值,使其所含蛋白在不同乙醇濃度下析出,在第五個(gè)析出的組分中主要成分為BSA,所以BSA又稱組分V或Cohn V。當(dāng)下,Cohn法仍然是非常普遍的BSA分餾法,最主要的還有熱休克法和色譜層析法。
